If you’ve ever looked at your website and thought, “Maybe it’s time to scrap this and start fresh,” hold that thought! You might not need a complete redesign. Instead, there are a few small, but mighty changes you can make to get your website working harder for you.

ToggleHere are four practical tips you can implement today to give your site a boost without the hassle of a full rebuild.
1. Know Your Website’s Main Goal
First things first—what is the purpose of your website? Are you trying to get visitors to fill out a contact form, schedule a call, or sign up for your newsletter? Without a clear, singular goal, your visitors won’t know what to do, and they’ll likely leave without taking action. Make your main call-to-action front and center. For example, place a bold button in the upper right-hand corner with a clear message like “Get a Quote” or “Book a Call.”
2. Simplify Your Navigation
A cluttered menu can overwhelm visitors, making them unsure of where to go next. When I worked with Twin Landscaping, we kept their navigation clean and simple: just three main options—Services, About, and Contact—plus a prominent button that says “Get a Quote.” If your site has too many navigation options, it may be time for a cleanup. Prioritize only the most important pages and move less essential content to your footer.
3. Align Each Page with Your Website’s Goal
Every page on your site should lead visitors toward that main goal you’ve set. Whether it’s getting a quote, booking a call, or filling out a form, each page should nudge them along the journey. For instance, when you land on Twin Landscaping’s Property Maintenance page, there’s a simple button prompting visitors to request a quote. Consider your own site—are you guiding visitors where you want them to go on every page?
4. Optimize Your Contact Page
Your contact page is often where conversions happen, so make sure it’s optimized for success. Ask for only essential information—name, email, maybe a short message—keeping friction low. A friendly, engaging contact page can also help. Include a welcoming photo and tweak your language to sound more personal. Instead of “Submit,” try something like “Let’s Get Started” or “Ready to Work Together?” It can make a big difference.
