The name of the game is optimization. Make sure it complements (not overtakes) your other content, and that it doesn’t slow down the loading speed of your overall site.

2. Take Another Look at Your Buttons

Nope, not the kind on your shirt! I’m talking about the doodads your site visitors click on to navigate to other pages or to take an action.

I know, it sounds like a minor thing – but buttons are SUPER important because they’re the primary way people engage within your site. That means you need the right number, shape, color, and copy.

3. Liven Things Up with Animations

Your social media and newsletters are chock full of exciting, innovative content. Your website won’t change nearly as much, but that doesn’t mean you can’t use design to bring in that element of surprise! Hover your mouse over a text box and the image behind it brightens and zooms in. See text fade in as you scroll down the page.

Your visitor’s experience will mirror your brand personality – unexpected and unconventional, in the BEST way. Just make sure the animations aren’t distracting!
