Redesigning a Gardening Company Website: Challenges and Successes

A website is often the first interaction customers have with a company. It’s important that it accurately reflects the brand and the services that are offered. Unfortunately, many companies struggle with creating a website that truly represents their true brand and engages visitors. One such company was Vivant Gardening Services, in Chicago, Illinois, a gardening company that had a fun and lighthearted brand. Prior to the redesign, their website didn’t accurately reflect their true brand. It was not optimized to encourage visitors to sign up for their coaching services or in-person gardening services. Additionally, their online shop was poorly designed, making it difficult for customers to make purchases.

Challenges Faced

This project had a few challenges that needed to be addressed during the redesign. Firstly, the website needed to accurately reflect the fun and playful nature of the brand. Such an important piece of the puzzle that so many online businesses miss. Secondly, it needed to be optimized to encourage visitors to book coaching sessions or to schedule a visit to their gardens. Lastly, the online shop needed to be redesigned to make it easy for customers to make purchases.
Before the redesign

The Redesign

To address these challenges, our team incorporated the fun, playful icons and colors that reflected Vivant Gardening Service’s personality. This created a super unique user experience that totally represented the brand. We also made sure that the website was optimized to encourage visitors to book coaching sessions or to schedule a visit to their gardens. This was achieved by adding calls to action throughout the website and making it easy for visitors to book services that included a fun and funky call to action color. The online shop was redesigned to make it easy for customers to make purchases. We made sure that the new online shop could be easily updated by the client and that products, both digital, as they have a variety of workshops and courses, and physical such as seasonal wreaths, could be purchased by visitors.

Successes

The redesign was a major success for the gardening company. The website accurately reflected their playful and creative nature, which helped to engage visitors. The online shop was now user-friendly, making it easy for customers to make purchases. The favorite element of the redesign was incorporating fun shapes into the entire design in a user-friendly way. The shapes were not only visually appealing but also reflected the personality of Vivant Gardening Services. In conclusion, redesigning a website can be a challenging process, but with the right team and approach, it can be a major success. The gardening company’s website redesign accurately reflected their brand and helped to engage visitors. The new website was optimized to encourage visitors to book services and make purchases. The incorporation of fun shapes throughout the design was a unique and memorable element that helped to further engage visitors. Think you might benefit from a website redesign?
